Less words. More eating.

Well, I think it’s time.

I have finally admitted to myself that as much as I love eating and sharing that love with you, I stopped having as much joy in writing about it. I had put a lot of pressure on myself to write posts once or twice a week and when life got in the way and I wasn’t able to do it, I started to really feel down about it. This led to writing less, photographing more … and now, here you have it. This post. The one you knew was coming.

The truth is, I didn’t want to disappoint you. So many people have suggested that I write a book. That I take my posts and my love and my experiences and make them into something someone would want. And yes, I do eventually plan to do that, but first, I had to admit to myself that I needed a break from writing. As you know, I wouldn’t write for a while, then I’d come back and say to y’all “I won’t go away again!” and then I’d go away again … and the cycle would continue.

So, rather than try to pretend I will always post once a week (or even semi-regularly), I just want you to know that I appreciate all of your support over the years, and I hope you will still come by here every once in a while, and also make sure to visit/follow along/engage on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or on Untappd @HumidFoodie. I’d love to have you along for the ride!

The posts from Instagram will automatically post here on the blog, so if they get to be too much for you, let me know and I will scale them back. Perhaps with a secret hashtag that you want to suggest? ๐Ÿ™‚
